About Us

Hey There! 

When it says ABOUT US , I mean just me, really I am a one woman band! My empire is small at the moment but I am building it one hanger at a time. 

I'm Rachel and I own and run The Style Society,  an Indie boutique,in the market town of Ossett on the outskirts on Wakefield/ Leeds.

I started trading at the beginning of this year after spending 10 + years working in the fashion industry designing for the high street in the UK and Europe, and after being somewhat jaded by designing countless bodycon dresses and Kardashianesque styles decided enough was enough so threw the towel in and went head first into opening my own boutique.

I'm the sole buyer for the business which, although exciting is sometimes daunting I won't deny, but shopping is fun who can deny that!! Every day is new and exciting, for the first time in over 10 years I am excited to come into work and don't always want to leave at the end of the day, if I didn't love my job, I couldn't sit here and sell you these wonderful clothes.

I'm in a converted mill alongside a hairdressers and beauty rooms, both of which are run by friends that I have known for over 20 years.  We drink prosecco on Thursdays, close on Wednesdays & Sundays for family time and have got each others back, girl power and all that.....

I aim to have a little bit of everything for everyone, something a little different, a little boho ,probably, something that will suit all shapes and sizes, we all have lumps and bumps so lets flatter them and make our selves look amazing!
